Sterling Volunteers

A Sterling Volunteer with the Adventist Church refers to an individual who has undergone the background screening and training process through Sterling Volunteers, a risk management and volunteer screening service used by the Seventh-day Adventist Church in North America.

This program ensures that volunteers working with children, youth, and vulnerable individuals meet safety standards and church guidelines. It is commonly required for those serving in ministries such as Pathfinders, Adventurers, Sabbath School, Family Ministries, and Health Ministries. We invite everyone who has a role in the church to come to this event!

The process typically includes:

  • Background checks to ensure a safe environment.

  • Training modules on child protection and abuse prevention.

  • Regular re-screening (usually every 5 years) to maintain compliance.

This is a 45 minute process! So please come to the church on Sunday or complete the online class by yourselves by March 10th.
